Molybdenum Tungsten Alloy Crucibles

Molybdenum tungsten alloy crucibles are made by materials – molybdenum and tungsten. These kinds of crucibles have the advantages of tungsten and molybdenum. The combination can increase its working temperature. The normal working temperature of molybdenum crucible is above 1100℃, and molybdenum tungsten alloy crucibles is more than 1800℃.

The following tables are examples of molybdenum tungsten alloy crucible and pure molybdenum crucible.

Molybdenum Tungsten Alloy Crucibles   Material:            70%Mo + 30%W Diameter:          450 mm maximum Wall thickness:  3mm minimum Working Temperature: above 1800℃

Molybdenum Crucibles and Lid   Material:           Mo 99.95% min Diameter:          450 mm maximum Wall thickness:  3mm minimum Working Temperature: above 1100℃

From the above table, we found that molybdenum with different purity degree can be produced different molybdenum crucibles. No matter what shape are their lids, the properties are unchanged. Molybdenum tungsten crucible can be used in melting metals at more than 1800℃, compared with molybdenum crucibles’ 1100℃.
